Satellite operator SES has reportedly teamed up with Internet service provider Microcom to offer a 50-channel television and radio service into the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Using a brand new craft, SES-4, which has beams looking at most of Africa, the service could be operational within three months.
Microcom is already working with SES in the shape of a multi-year contract to supply O3b services to the region as and when O3b goes live.
