DTS and NXP HD audio for mobiles and tablets

DTS, a specilaist in HD audio, has announced a partnership with mobile multimedia software vendor NXP Software to integrate a suite of DTS audio technologies in their QuickPlayer and CineXPlayer smart media player solutions.
DTS’ collaboration with NXP Software enables studios, service providers and network operators to rapidly deploy HD video services with the highest quality audio to a wide range of Android and iOS smart phones and tablets.
“We are pleased to add DTS as a key partner, as the company’s technology enables us to bring the same great audio that currently serves over 80 per cent of the Blu-Ray market to mobile phones and tablets,” said Cees Geel, managing director, NXP Software. “We believe that a high quality audio experience makes these devices much more valuable to consumers and allows them to enjoy and share a highly engaging and immersive entertainment experience.”
