Mexico has 11.4m pay-TV subs

Record numbers of viewers are paying for their TV in Mexico. Latest numbers from Mexico’s Federal Telecommunications Commission, says that pay-TV now enjoys 11.4 million subscribing homes.
DTH, for the first time exceeds cable TV. DTH, as at December 31st, had grown 30.8 per cent y-o-y. Cable grew just 2.9 per cent during 2011. MMDS subs collapsed 30.3 per cent with just 216,000 subs. DTH has 5.64 million subscribers, while cable has 5.59 million subs.
