Viaplay expands content deals with Disney, Sony

Viaplay, the online pay-TV service that is part of Modern Times Group (MTG), has signed additional licence agreements with The Walt Disney Company Nordic and Sony Pictures Television, to make over 500 movie titles available for subscription customers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
The new deals provide Viaplay with over 300 library movie titles from Sony Pictures Television and over 200 library movie titles from The Walt Disney Company Nordic. Viasat already has exclusive first-run licence agreements with Disney and Sony Pictures Television, and more than 600 titles from the two studios will be made available on the Viaplay service during 2012.
