South Korea’s electronics giant LG is backing the production by TV Globo of the flamboyant Rio de Janeiro Carnival in 3DTV.
The event takes place this weekend (February 19-20) and LG is helping fund the effort, with the signals going out on the ‘Net’ HD and HD Max cable system. The signals should be available to users with a ‘smart’ 3D-enabled TVs.
Six dedicated 3D cameras will be used (and 40 cameras will cover the HDTV version).
Reportedly there are more than 1 million 3DTV sets in Brazil.
