Colombia’s Une-EPM tops 1m subs

Colombia’s National TV Commission says that local cable and IPTV pay-TV provider Une-EPM has achieved 1.02 million subscribers, up 33,000 in November alone.
Colombia’s total pay-TV market measures some 3.8 million subs, says the Commission. Telmex is the largest operator, which in November had 1.79 million subs, up 7,000 on October’s numbers. Telmex, in the 11 months to November, added a net gain of some 75,000 subs.
DTH operator DirecTV has 418,000 subs (as at the end of November, while rival DTH player Telefonica had 242,000 subs.
