Sharp has showcased its 8K ‘Super Hi-Vision’ 85” set at the Las Vegas CES show.
While not expected to go into volume production any time soon, the Ultra HD set shows the road map for future broadcasting’s ambitions. The 8000-line (7680 x 4320) screen is capable of resolving at 16-times the detail on the best current TV sets.
The unit also comes ready to carry the NHK-developed 22.2 multichannel sound system.
