Jazztel launches first OTT service in Spain

Spanish ISP Jazztel is launching what it claims to be the first OTT TV service through Jazzbox with on demand content, including HD programming and live TV streaming from pay-TV operator Prisa TV, owner of DTH platform Canal Plus.
For an additional monthly fee of €10.95, Jazztel and Prisa TV customers are able to access the Canal Plus Yomvi services via the Jazzbox platform, which includes Canal Plus 1 and a subscription VOD service.
The Jazzbox, which is an IP set-top box, comes pre-integrated with Nagra’s DRM solution and Nagra Media Persistent Rights Management (PRM) and is powered by Nagra’s Open TV middleware.
