Oregan widens distribution with Dixons Retail’s Logik Smart TV

Oregan Networks, the web TV software company, has announced that it now supplies its web services platform for Logik, one of Dixons Retail’s portfolio of exclusive brands.
The Onyx media browser software provides customers with essential web and home network connectivity, including weather and news widgets, social networking and UK’s leading interactive Over the Top Video on Demand services, such as BBC iPlayer, Lovefilm, Blinkbox and broadcast catch-up TV programming. This partnership delivers on the retailer’s strategic push into convergence technology.
The Onyx browser featured on the Logik L23IPTV 23” LCD TV is positioned and marketed by the retailer as a home entertainment screen for bedrooms and kitchens, a category which is growing in popularity amongst a wide spread of consumer segments, ranging from technology enthusiasts and lifestyle shoppers – to families and deal seekers.
