NDS powers Kabel Deutschland HD STB

NDS has revealed that Kabel Deutschland, Germany’s largest cable operator, has launched a new HD STB powered by NDS technologies. The new box includes NDS MediaHighway STB software, VideoGuard conditional access, an NDS VOD solution and a customised electronic programme guide.
With this solution, Kabel Deutschland is able to drive HD and offer a mass market product that enables customers to access the Kabel Deutschland on demand service, available in a growing number of regions. The new HD STB is manufactured by Sagemcom.
