Orange nears 5m TV subs

French telco Orange has reported it now has 4.8 million subscribers for its European pay-TV services – with 1 million new additions coming in the last 12 months, mainly in France and Poland.
In its native market, the telco saw its pay-TV customer base in Q3 rise 28 per cent year-on-year to reach 4.1 million subscribers by the end of September. In Poland, the pay-TV customer base rose 24 per cent by the same comparison to reach 615,000 subscribers.
Revenues across all operations and markets in Q3 reached €11.28 billion, down 2.1 per cent from the previous year, while EBITDA fell 5.2 per cent by the same comparison to reach €3.998 billion.
