J:COM, Tokyu acquire Yokohama Cable Vision

Japanese cable services provider Jupiter Telecommunications (J:COM) has concluded an agreement with Sotetsu Holdings on buying a controlling stake in Yokohama Cable Vision, which is owned by Sotetsu. Yokohama Cable Vision (YCV) operates in Yokohama with 260,000 homes passed.
J:COM will buy 51 per cent of the shares in YCV and Tokyu will buy 49 per cent. J:COM and Tokyu will co-operate in running YCV to offer a number of different services.
