Waoo! selects RGB Networks for OTT delivery

RGB Networks, a provider of scalable multiscreen IP video delivery solutions, has revealed that Waoo!, a Danish broadband provider delivering fibre-based network services to nearly 200,000 households, has selected and deployed RGB’s Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) and TransAct Packager, to provide a complete transcoding and packaging solution for its new OTT video service.
Waoo! is utilising RGB’s VMG and TransAct Packager to roll out 36 channels streaming Microsoft Smooth Streaming adaptive format to PC-based consumers, adding to its existing TV service of 190 TV channels, with plans to extend the service to 50 channels with four adaptive profiles for each channel.
