Brazil pay TV record growth

Brazil’s National Telecoms Agency says that pay-TV subscribers in the country grew by a record 15.6 per cent in the first seven months of this year, to 11.3 million subs.
1.2 million net new subs have been added since the start of the year, with July achieving another 187,000 subs. DTH now has 51 per cent market share. Cable subs have edged forward 0.9 per cent, and has a 46.6 per cent market share. MMDS connections are down 2.2 per cent to just 270,000 subscribers.
