OPTA: Dutch cable subs decline

Cable TV subs in the Netherlands number 5.291 million for the first quarter, down from 5.334 million in December, according to the latest survey by regulator OPTA. Analogue subscribers are 2.252 million, down from 2.436 million.
The total of DTH, IPTV and DTT viewers numbered 2.239 million, up from 2.165 million.
Cabler Ziggo remained the largest distributor, with UPC losing some market share.
Dutch cable operators had 2.545 million broadband customers at the end of March, up from 2.492 million in December, while DSL operators had 3.52 million subscribers, down from 2.56 million.
