Telkomvision selects Ericsson
June 22, 2011
TelkomVision, the pay-TV service provider in Indonesia, has chosen a number of Ericsson solutions for the deployment of new TV services as it looks to provide greater value and quality for its subscribers across the country. The Ericsson system will enable TelkomVision to launch new channels across its satellite platform, and provides provision for HD services in the future.
TelkomVision, which currently has 200,000 subscribers in Indonesia, has selected a system comprising the Ericsson Video Processor Chassis (VPC), EN8130 MPEG 4 AVC encoders and MX8400 multiplexers. The resultant bit-rate savings enable TelkomVision to roll out 36 new channels to its subscribers at optimum quality.
