iConcerts HD to launch in Korea

Swiss-based Transmedia has finalised a deal with IPTV operator kt (formerly Korea Telecom) to launch its iConcerts HDTV channel for the first time in Korea.
This marks the first time the iConcerts HDTV broadcast channel will be available to the Korean public following the approval of its broadcast licence by the KCC (Korea Communications Commission) earlier this year. With the launch scheduled for May 1st, 2011, the iConcert’s live channel will be distributed only via kt’s innovative N-Screen Service including IPTV, Online, Tablet PC, mobile and other devices based on wired and wireless telecommunication services.
