BeeSmart achieves a 300% customer growth in 12 months
January 24, 2011
BeeSmart, the acknowledged interactive TV solution provider for service operators and Ekioh, a developer of compelling end user interface engines, are proud to announce a fast growing number of IPTV users on SVG based client technology.
The companies report that there are already over 130,000 end-users running BeeSmart middleware clients and the Ekioh SVG UI Engine.
This achievement represents more than 300 per cent growth over last year’s figures, which is a result of excellent team performance, modern software design and the right mix of partners involved in IPTV projects.
A significant number of customers select BeeSmart because of its ease of use and compelling visual experience. BeeSmart client software is driven by Ekioh’s SVG engine, which is rapidly becoming the defacto standard TV UI rendering technology. BeeSmart was the first middleware company to recognise the benefits of SVG and particularly Ekioh’s compact and high performance implementation. This partnership yielded a solution which is delivering huge satisfaction to end customers and TV operators alike.
“BeeSmart’s early confidence in our SVG UI Engine has been very helpful in driving our technology to telcos, and has helped us tailor the product for their needs.” said Piers Wombwell, CEO at Ekioh, “We are delighted that BeeSmart has benefitted from the fast and attractive user interface design they deliver to their customers.”
“The Ekioh SVG UI engine provides us a very flexible environment in which we are able to design responsive and visually attractive user interfaces for the end-client.” said Marko Hiti, CTO at BeeSmart, “Since our solution comes with a complete set of tools for development of custom applications, the same level of flexibility can be achieved by our partners who use BeeSmart Software Development Kit for designing their own tailored TV applications.”
