BigBand Networks, a specialist in digital video networking, has expanded its presence in the European cable market to deliver IP video solutions through a reseller partnership with Technetix Group, the European broadband cable and telecommunications equipment supplier.

Through this partnership, the companies say they can provide a turn-key, integrated approach to IP delivery that includes BigBand’s vIP PASS, an end-to-end video IP delivery platform, and CVEx (Converged Video Exchange), the industry’s first intelligent software control plane that facilitates convergence between different video applications and end-user screens. BigBand’s vIP PASS is designed to allow service providers to achieve IPTV goals with a faster time to market and lower operating and capital expense than with other transport alternatives.
