Maxisat selects Motorola for upgrades
May 25, 2010
Motorola has announced its Mobile Devices and Home business has signed a contract with Maxisat to upgrade the operator's MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 transcoding and MPEG-4 encoding capabilities. Deploying Motorola's encoding solutions will provide enhanced, high video quality at low bit rates which will enable Maxisat to more efficiently deliver high quality, rich video services to its Maxivision customers across Finland. This new contract builds on the existing set-top relationship between Motorola and Maxisat, under which Maxisat has rolled out Motorola's VIP1900 Series IPTV set-tops.
