Zon launches a 1Gbps broadband
October 9, 2009
Zon, the Portugese MSO, says it has become the first European operator to offer such a speed, with only Korea and Japan having done so before. The operator will market the Fiber Zon service as part of a triple-play package that includes the Funtastic TV service, featuring 110 channels, the Videoclube on-demand service and unlimited fixed-line calls in Portugal and to 20 other countries. The package will cost E249.90 for a year as well as an activation and installation fee of E99, which will be waived until the end of the year.
