No flotation of BBC Worldwide

The BBC Trust ruled out any substantial flotation of the broadcaster's commercial arm. Chairman Sir Michael Lyons said the BBC Trust "wouldn't contemplate" a loss of direct control over the sale of programmes and merchandise which had been produced using licence fee money.
His ruling came a few days after reports that the BBC's strategy could be to float up to 80 per cent of BBC Worldwide.
