Viaccess and RRD mobile TV solution

Viaccess and RRD, the DVB-H service integrator, have announced an end-to-end mobile TV security solution, based on the OMA BCAST SmartCard Profile standard. The joint offering ensures full interoperability between the Viaccess purple-TV conditional access system and the RRD ready to deploy, multi provider end to end architecture. The OMA BCAST Smartcard profile protects Mobile TV services via the use of a SIM card. The success of this trial will allow OMA BCAST compliant handsets to access premium mobile television services.
