Eutelsat raises targets
February 10, 2009
Eutelsat has raised its revenue target for the full year after the world’s third-biggest satellite operator posted a 52.8 per cent increase in net profit over the first half of 2008-2009. Eutelsat said it now targeted sales of E910 million in full-year 2008-2009, up from a target of more than E900 million last confirmed on November 4th.
The group maintained its earnings and revenue targets for the period 2008 through 2011 as sales in the first half rose 7.9 per cent.
Net profit in the first half of 2008 to 2009 reached E135.2 million, up from E88.5 million a year earlier, thanks partly to the sale of a stake in Hispasat and a decrease in depreciation charges.
