Chellomedia's Dutch premium channels Film1 and Sport1 have announced a record subscription growth with 360,000 subscribers as of 1st February. This figure is 10 per cent higher than last year and is the highest since the introduction of pay TV in the Netherlands.

Film1 also announced the success of its subscription video on demand service, Film1 On Demand (SVOD), a library of more than 100 movies, from which subscribers on the UPC digital platform, can select movies being shown on the linear channels. Over a million movies have been viewed since the launch in August 2008, an average of 200,000 films per month.
