From Branislav Pekic in Rome
Portugal's Zon Multimedia has launched a Video-On-Demand service, called ZON Videoclube, for the clients of TV Cabo in Lisbon and Porto.
The VOD service features hit movies from various genres, with some content also available in high definition. It also includes series, concerts, documentaries, kids titles, as well as a special adult content section protected with a pin code. As part of the promotional launch, around 20 titles (mainly movies, kids programmes and documentaries) will be available free of charge until February 28.
Users will also be able to access information before ordering , including reviews and trailers both on their TV set and online. From February, the ZON Videoclube will enable the watching of content from the Portuguese terrestrial TV channels (RTP 1, RTP2, SIC and TVI) and the MOV channel, up to seven days after it was originally broadcast.
