Jaman film service launch
January 19, 2009
Former MySpace UK chief David Fischer is behind the launch of a new online movie service, Jaman, in the UK. Jaman.com launched in 2007 with a library of independent and international films, UK-based consumers can now access Jaman’s collection of premiere films across all platforms including PCs, Macs, TV screens and mobile devices.
Jaman also hosts a library of world cinema titles, which include a collection of international dramas, documentaries and shorts, Japanese anime titles and Bollywood hits. Globally, Jaman has more than 4,500 films in its catalogue. Fischer said: “With the explosion of short form and user-generated content online, global film audiences are increasingly hungry for quality entertainment. Jaman’s international ambition is to build upon our leadership position serving a discerning, independently-minded global audience.”
