Postgate appointed BBC Research Controller

Erik Huggers, Director of BBC Future Media and Technology, has appointed Matthew Postgate Controller of BBC Research & Innovation.
In his new role, Postgate will be responsible for shaping and leading all research and innovation activities to ensure value is delivered to the BBC, wider industry and academia. His duties will include creating and delivering a long term strategy to cover the next Charter period which is focused on delivering a Digital Broadband Britain, and developing and sustaining long term relationships with external research institutes and universities.
