Hulu, Kangaroo tie up?
October 30, 2008
Some reports have suggested Hulu is looking for a tie up with Kangaroo as part of its international expansion, even that the UK service could take the Hulu name rather than the rumoured 'See-Saw.'
However, sources suggest Hulu will play a waiting game and not decide on any move until after the result of the Competition Commission probe into Kangaroo. Kangaroo had been expecting exclusive rights to its' owners shows (BBC, ITV, C4, C5) but it may now have to license them to others including Hulu.
Kangaroo, too, is hoping to go international, CEO Ashley Highfield told Mipcom. The commission is due to report by February 8.
