Russia DTV stumbles

The adoption of Russia’s state-funded programme for the switch to digital TV, scheduled for completion in 2015, is to be postponed. The information technology and The most crucial unsolved issue is whether all the population will be supplied with digital equipment free of charge, as earlier announced. Meanwhile, industry players say that technological challenges also may arise when it comes to switching 50 million households to digital.
