Babel TV coming soon

UK ISP Pipex founder Peter Dawe has confirmed that Internet TV service Babel TV will launch on November 6th. The service, which works by plugging a Babel TV box into a digital terrestrial Freeview aerial and broadband connection, combines Freeview, personal video recorder technology and Internet access. Babel TV will enable users to record and pause Freeview TV, as well as watch TV programmes from the Internet, surf and shop online. The Babel TV box will be available at a cost of £295 (E420) with 1 gig of memory costing £1 a month
BT launched its BT Vision hybrid DTT/broadband IPTV box in December 2006.
