CASBAA announces pay-TV ad awards

The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) today unveiled its latest initiative to boost the pay-TV advertising market with the announcement of the inaugural CASBAA Pay-TV Advertising Awards in recognition of creative excellence in multi-channel television.

The Awards ceremony will take place on the first full day of the CASBAA Convention 2004 in Hong Kong, October 26-29, 2004.

Marrying creative options with the power of television, pay TV has long been accepted as the most inventive of advertising mediums, allowing advertisers to move beyond traditional television commercial placement into areas such as program sponsorship, ad-funded content production, off-air events, promotions and on-line integration.

The inaugural CASBAA Pay-TV Advertising Awards, developed in association with Media magazine, have been designed to celebrate a burst of regional creativity and will see eye-catching prizes given across a range of advertising principles.
