Cable & Satellite MEDIACAST, ECC and e-CAST together create Europe's largest springtime event for the broadband market, occupying over 19,000 square meters (204,000 square feet) at ExCeL. Cable & Satellite MEDIACAST with its strength in wireless satellite and broadcast, and ECC's wireline focus on digital cable and telecoms together create the ultimate broadband event. e-CAST the new event for streaming media runs alongside both shows and gives an insight into streaming technologies and media over broadband platforms. All three shows take place from the 21-23 May 2001 at the ExCeL Exhibition & Conference Centre, London's brand new state-of-the-art exhibition venue. (www.mediacast.co.uk or www.ecc-convention.com).

The MEDIACASTand ECC events are designed specifically to enable broadcasters, service providers, content owners and network operators to select the optimal business model, the right mix of applications, and the appropriate supporting technology, to enable them to fully exploit convergence on any platform. At e-CAST streaming media technology will be showcased alongside broadband distribution systems. This will create the definitive forum exploring the commercial opportunities for rich media streamed to the home and business.

"The combination of the ECC and MEDIACAST shows reflect the larger forces shaping broadband communications," said Dawn Emms, Market Development Manager, Harmonic Inc. "As a solutions provider to the cable, satellite, wireless and telecom markets, we are excited to be participating in this event."

Neil Cook Exhibition Manager, "The event will be 30% bigger than it's ever been before, with over 300 exhibitors participating across ECC, MEDIACAST and e-CAST. There are a significant number of new exhibitors, with over 70 companies exhibiting who have never been seen before at ECC or MEDIACAST.
